Refund or Exchange

 We are happy to accept product back for refund or exchange under the following conditions:

  • The return is within 4 weeks of purchase
  • The goods are in the original, undamaged packaging
  • The goods must not be fitted or used
  • You are responsible for ensuring that the goods are returned in suitable packaging to prevent damage during transit
  • You are responsible for the cost of returning the product
  • Postage is non-refundable

A full refund (excluding postage) will be issued for all items returned within 30 days of receipt.

When returning the goods they should be accompanied with a Returns Form.

Incorrect Item Received

On the rare occasion that we ship you an incorrect product, we are happy to replace with the correct product and compensate you for returning the incorrect product, under the following conditions:

  • You must notify us within 7 days of receipt.
  • Goods must be in original packaging.
  • Goods must not be fitted or used.
  • Please include a postal receipt
  • We will refund postage costs but only Royal Mail 1st Class or Standard Parcels for larger items.
  • You may send goods back to us using Priority or Guaranteed services but we can only refund the approximate 1st class postage cost.

My purchase was damaged/broken when received

If you receive faulty or damaged goods, please contact us immediately and we will resolve as quickly as possible.

Also if your parcel is noticably 'damaged in transit' you must sign for it as such otherwise  Bike Republic will not be able to take an responsibilty for any damage caused.

We will accept the return of faulty or damaged goods under the following conditions:

I wish to return an item under Warranty

All goods purchased from Bike Republic are covered by a full warranty, which covers manufacturing faults and defects.

We do not warrant against

  • Failure or damage due to misuse such as, but not limited, to incorrect installation, poor maintenance, abuse or neglect, using the product for something other than its intended purpose, alteration of the product unless expressly permitted in writing by Bike Republic. Nor does it cover general wear and tear on tyres, inner tubes, brakes, brake and gear cables, brake pads, light bulbs, chain rings, chains, cassettes, rims, batteries etc.
  • Corrosion and/or deterioration caused by material fatigue defined as the natural breakdown of materials that occurs after extended use will not be covered under warranty.
  • After the initial 30 day period CRC Reserve the right to repair/replace any defective part under warranty.
  • Warranty is non transferrable and applies to the original purchaser only.
  • Proof of purchase is required with all potential warranty claims.
  • Any item that is repaired or replaced under warranty will be covered by a period equal to the remaining warranty period of the original part.
  • Usage during competitions, events, circuits or activities other than those for which the bicycle/component has been conceived will greatly reduce its useful life and is not covered under warranty.
  • Costs incurred as a result of loss of use, as well as labour charges for part replacement or changeovers are not covered.
  • If near the end of a given warranty period and a repair/replacement is not possible Bike Republic reserve the right to offer:

a. an alternative of equal or greater value (colour may vary) or

b. a Partial refund proportional to the remaining life of the    product.

Please contact us before you return any goods, as we may be able to resolve the problem over the phone.

When we receive the goods, we will carry out a warranty inspection.

If goods are returned in an ‘unhygienic’ state, we will not be bale to carry out a warranty inspection and will return the product following payment of postage.

There are a number of different warranty types as follows:

In-House Warranty

  • Warranty claims will now be assessed in house by our team of accredited technicians.
  • We will examine your returned item and contact you with the options available to you.
  • If your claim is found to be warrantable and we stock it we can repair/replace your item from our own stock.
  • If deemed warrantable and a repair is not possible we will carry out your instructions as per your warranty claim form.

Back to Supplier Warranty

  • The manufacturer/supplier may require us to return the item back for a thorough examination before repair or replacement can take place
  • If this is the case, we will inform you of approximate turnaround time.
  • We will liaise with the supplier and work hard to keep your claim moving swiftly towards its conclusion.
  • Unless resolved, we will contact you after three week with an update.

Calculation of Discount

  • Where an online offer states that a percentage discount will be given on a purchase, the cost of the qualifying purchases will be reduced by the stated discount percentage.
  • Where purchases are stated to be offered on a "VAT-free" basis, the prices of qualifying items will be reduced by the equivalent of VAT. At the current VAT rate of 20% this equates to a discount of 16.67%.
  • Supplementary charges such as delivery or postage & packing shall not be discounted unless specifically stated in the offer description.

Limitation of Liability

  • At all times our acceptance of an order takes place on despatch of the order, at which point the purchase contract will be made and you will be charged for your order.
  • All offers are subject to availability and while stocks last.
  • All prices are quoted in pounds sterling (£) and include Value Added Tax (VAT) at UK rates. It may be necessary to adjust prices in the event of an increase in VAT rates, or as a result of a manufacturer price increase. Customers are entitled to a full refund if this is not acceptable.
  • If any prices are displayed inaccuratley online we reserve the right to cancel and refund the order without further liability. 

 

Postage & Delivery

Bike Republic offer free delivery on all orders over £50.00.

Goods are normally shipped within 48hrs of order and will be shipped by either 1st Class Royal Mail Tracked or, for large packages, by alternative shipping agents

Bikes are not guaranteed for same day dispatch, as we will take time to build and inspect your product before releasing it for dispatch.
